Although you are only required to defeat three of these bosses each week, the time it may take to overcome each one can be considerable if you are not accustomed to their mechanics.
This is particularly applicable to formidable adversaries such as the All-Devouring Narwhal, a colossal boss located in Fontaine, which offers limited opportunities for counterattacks. Fortunately, there are several straightforward strategies that can assist you in defeating it with relative ease.

All-Devouring Narwhal Attack Pattern
The All-Devouring Narwhal stands apart from most bosses in Genshin Impact, as it does not allow players to launch an attack immediately upon spawning. This boss alternates between appearing from the ground and the sky, which significantly limits the opportunities for melee characters to strike, often confining them to brief moments of engagement.
Most of the time, the Narwhal launches its attacks by dropping from the sky and hitting the ground, either diving into it or floating back upwards. In either case, players will sustain damage unless they dodge at the moment the Narwhal contacts the ground. Moreover, in certain instances, it can also emerge from the ground and then ascend into the sky.
During a specific assault, the Narwhal generates an orb on the battlefield. This orb diminishes its white bar when subjected to standard attacks; however, it experiences a significantly greater reduction in health points when targeted by Pneuma and Ousia attacks. In this phase, the primary focus is on evading the majority of the boss’s assaults while inflicting damage whenever possible.
Characters equipped with long-range capabilities or those that utilize turret-type damage are ideal for inflicting damage during this period, as they can deploy entities on the battlefield that autonomously engage the boss.

How To Defeat All-Devouring Narwhal
This encounter is among the rare instances where circumventing the natural progression is nearly impossible unless one possesses exceptionally powerful characters. Inflicting damage on the Narwhal during the initial phase contributes to the accumulation of its rage meter. This meter is visible in the top right corner, situated beneath the health points, and upon reaching its maximum capacity, it activates a special attack that transports you to an alternate realm.
In this area, a new foe emerges, with its health points (HP) represented by a white bar located below Narwhal’s HP. This bar, akin to the orb produced by Narwhal, receives damage upon being attacked. The principal method of damaging this bar arises when the enemy transforms into a different orb for several seconds.
The orb can be targeted using any variant of Pneuma or Ousia energy, which will promptly inflict substantial damage to the white bar. Once this bar is entirely diminished, the Narwhal will experience a considerable amount of damage, and you will be returned to the primary confrontation, where the Narwhal remains exposed for a few seconds.
In these few seconds, it is expected that you can easily defeat the boss and conclude the fight. If you do not succeed, the process will begin anew. After you have defeated the boss, you may spend 30 Resin to acquire the following exclusive materials:
