Ideal IV Stats for Lileep in Pokémon Go
The Spotlight Hour is a prime chance to find a Lileep with perfect individual values (IVs). For those unaware, in Pokémon Go, “perfect” can mean different things depending on your strategy and goals. The ultimate goal for a strong Pokémon is to hunt for the coveted 100% IV, which is represented as 15/15/15. This level is perfect for raids and the Master League. However, it’s essential to note that due to Combat Power (CP) calculations, achieving peak performance typically occurs in the Master League.
Although you can’t identify a Pokémon’s IV without catching it first, you can anticipate a perfect Lileep based on its CP alone. If you are Level 30 (or higher), be on the lookout for these CP values for a flawless 15/15/15 Lileep:
- Level 30 (wild CP maximum): 1107 CP
- Level 35 (weather-boosted wild CP maximum): 1199 CP
These wild CP values correspond with your Trainer Level until Level 30, which is why we’ve emphasized them for clarity, especially since many players have progressed beyond this level.
Catch Dynamax Pokémon This Season!
The Max Out Season has arrived, allowing trainers to encounter Dynamax Pokémon through Max Battles. First, visit Power Spots to gather Max Particles and complete the To the Max! quest. Don’t forget to explore Routes, engage in Gift Exchange, and test out Party Play while you’re on the lookout for rare Pokémon or battling in the Go Battle League.
Is Cradily a Strong Option in PvP?
Like many fossil Pokémon with impressive defense stats, Cradily holds its own in battles. While it may not be the decisive factor in your victories in the Go Battle League, it offers reliable performance when paired with the right team.
Equipped with Bullet Seed (Fast) and Grass Knot (Charged), players can opt for either Rock Slide (best for Great and Master Leagues) or Stone Edge (ideal for Ultra League). Fast-attacking movesets on resilient Pokémon like Cradily are valuable assets in the competitive landscape. In the Great League, Cradily can secure wins against Talonflame, Lanturn, Shadow Whiscash, Charjabug, and Azumarill, while facing challenges from Skarmory, Vigoroth, Annihilape, Shadow Gligar, and Lickitung. If you’re aiming for a great Cradily in the Great League, target a 0/15/15 IV at Level 26.
Its performance dips slightly in the Ultra League, but it can still secure victories against formidable opponents like Swampert, Greninja, Golisopod, Talonflame, and Tapu Fini, although it will struggle against Virizion, Poliwrath, Steelix, Giratina Altered, and Cresselia. Achieving a perfect 15/15/15 in this league requires considerable investment, pushing it to a CP of 2499, making it a tough endeavor. However, note that Cradily is not particularly effective in the Master League.
Shiny Lileep: A Rare Find in Pokémon Go
Indeed, a shiny version of Lileep exists in Pokémon Go, inspired by its evolution! The shiny form debuted during the Adventure Week event in June 2019. Players who catch a shiny Lileep can evolve it into a shiny Cradily, but this requires 50 Lileep Candy.
If luck is on your side, you might encounter a shiny Lileep in the wild. However, this isn’t a Community Day event, so shiny rates are not boosted. The likelihood of finding a shiny Lileep, let alone a perfect one, is relatively low. Still, any Lileep you encounter has the potential to be shiny, making it a numbers game—tap on all of them and see what you catch!
What Does Shiny Lileep Look Like?
Shiny Lileep draws inspiration from its evolution in terms of coloration, presenting a vibrant green hue. While it’s fitting for a Grass-type Pokémon, some trainers might find this common shiny color less appealing. Conversely, shiny Cradily departs from this green palette, adopting a striking shade of fuchsia with an orange tint on its frills, making it an eye-catching addition to your collection.
Additional Tips for This Spotlight Hour
In addition to hunting for shiny Lileep, there are further advantages to participating in this week’s Spotlight Hour:
- Take advantage of the double catch candy bonus, allowing you to accumulate candy at a faster rate—catching a Pokémon can yield up to 13 Candy when using a Pinap or Silver Berry with a Mega-Evolved Pokémon of the same type, compared to the base three.
- The bonus extends to your research rewards too. Keep in mind you can save up to 200 Pokémon by running away from them, allowing you to maximize your use of Star Pieces or Lucky Eggs.
- Newcomers can use this Spotlight Hour to gather enough Lileep Candy to evolve their Pokémon, completing their Pokédex.
- With Lileep being a Rock and Grass-type, capturing multiple this hour will help you progress in your catch bonus medals.
Remember, Spotlight Hour events last for a limited time—from 6 PM to 7 PM local time. Stay tuned for next week’s feature on Mankey, which will include a Double Transfer Candy bonus.
Best of luck on your hunt for the perfect Lileep!
